About Tiny Saucy Kitchen
Welcome to Tiny Saucy Kitchen
Welcome to Tiny Saucy Kitchen, we’re happy to see you here. This page is just all about us and some questions we get a lot. Without further adieu:
Who We Are:
Tiny Saucy Kitchen is a project that Bicker Bunch decided to start. While all four of the Bicker Bunch are involved Nick prefers to stay off-camera, and we respect that so he’s always filming now.
Chef Brandyn Jones:
Brandyn grew up in a southern household and, therefore cooks a lot of southern food. He also did a bit of time in culinary school so he is far more classically trained than Matt is. Him and Matt met while they were both stationed on the same submarine in Groton, CT.
Both of them had medical and mental health issues and were separated from the military. After jumping around as a federal contractor for a few years Matt was able to get Brandyn a job at the same company and they reunited after six years.
In early 2021 Bicker Bunch was started after the four of us realized we didn’t want to keep working for people and just wanted to live our lives.
As a 100% disabled veteran, Brandyn is able to return to school for accounting and could stop working to help build and manage Bicker Bunch and Tiny Saucy Kitchen’s finances and share his cooking with all of you. Brandyn has two cats and one dog, he enjoys golfing and is working to move to France with the rest of the group.
Junior Chef Jammarie Clevette
Jam also grew up in a southern household but never learned to cook. She and Matt met in high school and when Matt joined the navy, they married. The two have been together exclusively since they were 16. Yep, they’re pretty adorable.
Jam went to college for software development and is currently a mobile application developer, as the only one of Bicker Bunch and Tiny Saucy Kitchen with a serious job she supports all of us while we try to get this off the ground.
She is the star of the You Can Cook! series as Matt and Brandyn tech her simple recipes. Because she has no kitchen experience she is the perfect example that anyone can cook. Jam shows that you don’t need to be trained, you just need to try. She and Matt have three dogs, she enjoys video games and is very excited to move to France with the rest of the group so she can stop working and learn to make pottery.
Chef Matthew Clevette
Matt grew up in the Pacific Northwest and does not really follow any main style of cooking. His mother (Mama Grape) is the middle child of 20, a large French family in Northern Maine.
When Matt was 9 his family moved to Florida where one of Mama Grape’s old brothers lives. Mama Grape’s older brother also happened to be a Michelin-starred chef. While Matt was a teenager he learned to cook from this uncle.
So while he does not have classical training, he was taught a lot of classical techniques. By mixing the skills learned from his uncle and his ability to balance flavors he comes off as a scrappy home chef.
Matt was in the navy with Brandyn and is also a 100% disabled veteran who is completely unable to work due to severe mental health disorders. Cooking helps him focus and Bicker Bunch, Tiny Saucy Kitchen, and the future move to France give him something to work toward and enjoy without any of the stressors that put him in the state he’s currently in.
Cameraman Nicholas Clevette
Nick is Matt’s brother, older by 10 years. He worked in the same job for his entire life and is finally tired of the thought that he won’t be able to do what he wants because of it.
While Nick is not usually comfortable on camera, you will hear him on Bicker Bunch Podcast and as the mystical voice in some videos. He’s is now going to film school to learn to be a director, something he’s always wanted to do.
He is an extreme cinephile and also loves video games. Nick’s primary hobbies, when he doesn’t work 60 hours a week, are playing video games and spend time with family and friends. He has one dog, Milo, who is a little cutie. Nick wants to move to France with the rest of the group so his artistic side of writing and filming can actually be supported.
Are Your Shows Family Friendly?
The answer to that one is complicated. Text on this website and the paper recipes will absolutely always be family-friendly. As for the videos, sometimes. Our quickies have an obviously sexual and comedic name, there is never any talking in them. Because of this, they will be appropriate for all ages to follow along.
On the other hand, our You Can Cook! series and any of the Matt and Brandyn cooking videos are probably not going to be appropriate. We like to make this show funny and have a good time with it so off-color jokes and inappropriate comments are strongly encouraged.
Where Are You Located?
Bicker Bunch and Tiny Saucy Kitchen is located in Phoenix, AZ. If you see us around the city don’t be afraid to say hey, we generally won’t bite. Who knows, we might be carrying some swag in the car and you could get some free stuff. You can probably spot us on some of our favorite breweries and restaurants. Check our YouTube for our favorites.
You Got Swag?
Oh yea, we got loads of swag. Our Store page on this website and our Bicker Bunch merch store currently have some logo gear and we’ll be adding more as we think of them. If you ask really nicely we have some stuff around the house that has been produced for us we could send out as well, think can koozies and aprons with our logos on them.
How Do You Come Up With Recipes?
Coming up with a recipe isn’t always difficult, it just takes a bit of practice and an understanding of flavor profiles. If you keep cooking and keep experimenting then eventually you will be able to make changes and eventually come up with something entirely unique to you.
Use sites like ours as a jumping-off point and don’t be afraid to change some stuff in these and play some trial and error.
We are planning to share recipe creation on our Twitch channel, so if you’re interested in the Tiny Saucy Kitchen Lab follow that.
Why Are You Doing This?
Lot’s of reasons. First is we can to be able to support ourselves without having a 9-5. Trust me I’d rather stay up till 3 am editing content and sleeping till noon, than waking up to 100 emails on stuff being broken at work.
Second, our major goal is to take this show on the road too, we are trying to move to France in a few years so we can travel all around Europe and see the history and food out there and continue sharing it with you all.
We started Bicker Bunch as a way to kick start all of that, our podcast is seriously just us sitting at our dinner table talking about whatever we would talk about anyway. The four of us have so much fun doing that every week. Later we added some beer-related content because we love beer, the same with our video game content. Eventually, Matt wanted to start a cooking show, and after filming a few and making recipes Matt decided to make Tiny Saucy Kitchen.
Lastly, it’s fun. Simple as that.
How Can I Support You?
The obvious is to like, follow, and share our content with your friends and family. This is the easiest way to help us keep doing this for free. Also send us a message with something you want to see, if you would like it then more people will too and we don’t always know what people want to see.
Another way to support us is by leaving constructive feedback. I have to stress the word constructive, we will remove any comments that are not constructive and you’re just being a dick. We do read every comment and try to respond to each, if we can’t we will try to address them and alter our content to it.
Please keep in mind we are just four people and our content editor (Matt) has never once taught how to use any of these tools, he’s making it up as he goes with the power of online courses on the software. Nick is going to film school and will be learning how to direct and film correctly, but in the meantime, we’re doing what we can to make it interesting. I promise we’ll get better, but your feedback will absolutely help.
And finally, you can support us monetarily.
You know we were going to mention it eventually.
Our merch sales go directly to us getting better equipment and learning more and so do our patrons on Patreon. With two of us in school full time and one completely focused on this as he’s unable to work, any assistance you can give is huge and it brings a little tier in our eyes every time someone signs up.
Seriously we appreciate it and know that we aren’t just taking money to buy a Porsche. Matt already had one and he sold it for a Nissan Leaf because he didn’t think any of it was worth killing himself over it.
Anything You All Want To Say to Me?
Well, thank you for asking. Yes, we want to thank you for visiting our site. If you made it this far down the page you really want to know about us, and for that we all say “Thanks, you’re awesome” and we appreciate you. Without people like you, this would just be a money pit. We hope you enjoy our content and we hope it inspires you to do something you truly enjoy too. We’ll cap this long page off with a little bit of life advice that we all learned the hard way.
Tiny Saucy Kitchen’s Wise Words of Wisdom:
You only have one life, once it’s over your time in this wild and crazy world is over. Don’t let other drag you down and try not to burn yourself out for someone else, personally or professionally. No matter what people want to make you think, YOU are the most important person in your life. Without you, there is no “your life“.
If you are angry or depressed get help and fix the situation, if that means cutting ties with “friends” that drain you, who cares? They obviously don’t care about you if they are putting that stress on you.
Don’t let your job define your life. Your job is a means to let you do what you want to, not the other way around. We’ve all known people who die regretting that they never did something or went somewhere because of their work, don’t be that person. Live a life that is full for you and do what you enjoy, as long as it doesn’t harm others.
Things may seem bad right now but always remember “now” is temporary. If you’re in a bad situation always remember, you can’t change the people around you, but you change who the people around you are.
