Matt’s Quick Lunchtime Stir Fry Noodles
When covid first started and I was working from home my job suddenly got far busier than it was before. So for lunchtime, I needed a quickie that I could throw together in a few minutes and go. Welcome to my super quick teriyaki stir fry noodles.
Quick Teriyaki Stir Fry
Since I had very little time to throw something like this together I made it as simple as possible, just some homemade teriyaki sauce, ready to serve stir fry noodles, a bit of garlic, and some ground meat. So all said and done this takes about 10 minutes start to finish. This is a perfect blank slate as well. Add whatever you want to this and it’ll work well. Want to make teriyaki stir fry noodles packed with veggies, or substitute the ground meat for chicken, steak, or salmon. It’ll all work great.
The wok
While a wok is perfect for this dish as you can really get the heat up. It isn’t completely necessary. You can use any large pan, just remember that to correctly stir fry the temperature has to be high. Because a lot of nonstick pans will break down at high temperatures they aren’t recommended. If you use a stainless steel pan you will really need to make sure it’s oiled nicely to prevent sticking. But I do recommend a flat bottom carbon steel wok, you can find them online for under $35.
